A right-angled triangle has three sides, a, b and c (where c is the hypotenuse). If you know the lengths of two of the sides, this calculator will find the third side, using Pythagoras' theorem.

For example, if you know that side a has length 4, and side c (the hypotenuse) has length 5, then enter the values 4 and 5 into boxes a and c. You must leave box b blank.
The third side is calculate using Pythagoras' theorem: $$ a^2 + b^2 = c^2 $$
